It’s easy to say we want a long-term travel lifestyle – that is, to travel all the time and let our life revolve around new journeys. But how realistic is this desire? How do we make money or save enough money to constantly travel?
Most people don’t even consider long-term travel past this initial thought solely due to lack of funds. The desire to participate in long-term travel is there, but the money isn’t. This is the very inner struggle I have been dealing with for a few years, and I no longer let it bog me down or stop me from engaging in long-term travel.
So, you ask – how do I make enough money for my long-term travels? There definitely isn’t a lot of quality information out there on how the average person can actually pull off this type of lifestyle. That’s because most people are hunkered down and too terrified to exit the rat race in exchange for a life of traveling and real freedom.
There are several techniques involved in long-term travel and they can take months to get working properly. However, if you stick with them, they will eventually reward you with your goal: a long-term travel lifestyle.
1) The first long-term travel technique is throwing out all of your preconceived notions about needing a traditional job. Don’t worry about what other people think about what you do and focus on what it is YOU want to do. If you really want long-term travel to be a part of your life, you won’t worry about finding a job everyone respects. People who have experienced true freedom don’t care about image or status symbols anyway, so follow their lead! It can only get your that much closer to you goal of long-term travel!
2) Next, think about how to make money online or passively while traveling rather than setting your mind on an office job. Sitting in an office won’t get you out traveling anytime soon.
3) Look for income opportunities that allow you to work remotely or at each of your destinations. Only consider the jobs or opportunities that fit those criteria because only those will allow long-term travel to be possible! Don’t settle!
4) Remember that you must start with smaller income sources and work your way up to more lucrative ones. Long-term travel lurks in the passive, lucrative income sources.
These tips are very important if you want to avoid getting discouraged! Your long-term travel lifestyle awaits you… Stop holding yourself back and get started toward long-term travel today!
