Image is a formed the appearance and behaviour of a business person (or organization) that highlight the characteristics of value and features, have an impact on others. Image is formed on the basis of the views expressed by others about a person.
People are more likely to accept the position of the person to whom they experience emotionally positive attitude, and vice versa, take less and even reject the position of the person to whom they have emotionally negative attitude. Many individuals by nature have an attractive image, they are endowed with charisma. Charm – it’s not so much visual appeal but the fullness of confidence, emotional disposition towards people.
Finding an attractive image is not an aim itself, but mastering it is a very important personal and professional characteristic. The desire to cooperate with a specific person or companydepends largely depends on image. Attractive image is one of the factors determining business success.
Image has the following properties:
Image – a conscious phenomenon, it does not exist only at the individual level, i.e. an object must be known to any group of people (customers, partners, etc.);
Favorable image must have the exact address, calling to his interest, to attract specific groups of partners;
Image is active in nature, it can affect the mind, emotions, activity, both individuals and entire groups;
Image is not something established once formed, it is dynamic, its attributes are transformed, modified in accordance with changes in a person;
Image must be plastic to change, responding to the economic, psychological and social conditions;
Image must be plausible (to correspond to what actually is or to make an impression), otherwise the image is not believed in, and it does not reach the goal.
Good reputation is hard to get, it takes years, and losing it can be instantaneous and often for nothing: do not respond in time to a phone call or letter, not sending a fax is waiting for displaying bad manners in any form. For an attractive image, everything is important – and the culture of speech, and manner of dress, and the office interior. Ignorant and rude people do not possess the magic charm. An individual who has bad taste can hardly to count on a favorable impression. Self-confidence and stereotyped behavior negatively affect the perception of others personality, which is interested in recognizing and friendly attitude. In all countries, a code of behaviour means for well-mannered person includes four basic rules: politeness, responsibility, dignity and tact. They are highly respected in the world, because they are indispensable for the foundation of successful, fruitful business relationships – mutual trust.
Business image more often specially designed for the person or compamy, taking into account peculiarities of activity, internal strengths, qualities and characteristics of the carrier’s image.
