French Polynesia is composed of 118 islands dispersed in the South Pacific Ocean. The country is as big as Europe (4000 square kilometers). There are different kinds of islands from high islands to atolls. These islands are grouped in 5 archipelagos: Society, Marquesas, Tuamotu, Austral and Gambier. Tahiti is the main island with Papeete the capital and Faaa, the international airport.
