Why CTP should not be mixed with other kinds of vehicle insurances

In Australia, people are obliged to get their car, their home and their bike insured before they start making use of the facilities there. It is necessary because when the vehicles are used on the road, they are not only used for your own use rather they are also acting upon other on the road. If you comply with the safety rules and follow the instructions given by the government you are sure to fulfil all your responsibilities as a responsible citizen.

CTP or the ctp green slip is one of such responsibilities that cannot be avoided in anyway if you are planning to drive in QLD or NSW Australia because it is one of the basic and most important legal requirements that has been implemented by the law.

But the fact is that there are still some people that mix up CTP with other kinds of vehicle insurance as if it may offer a protection for all people who may be involved in an accident.  But it is fairly different from other kinds of insurances in many ways that are visible and can be assessed easily.

One major difference is that unlike other insurance policies which depend on your needs and preferences, CTP is the compulsory third party insurance that no one could miss when registering the vehicle. It is an essential step that cannot be voided at any cost.

In addition to that, CTP does not compensate the injuries and loss done to the insured person rather it only covers the third party damages and will only compensate them.

Further, it should not be considered as the substitute of another kind of vehicle insurances as you will need to get your vehicle insurance because this will only consider the third party loss or damage.

All these things assure that CTP is a different insurance cover that should not be mixed with the rest of insurance options for vehicles.
